Spring Thaw Postponed
The Spring Thaw Tournament scheduled for Saturday May 18 has been postponed due to inclement weather. The tournament will now be held on Sunday June 2 starting at 1pm. Any players who cannot play on the new day can have their tournament fees refunded at the Pro Shop. A new draw for the tournament will be issued on Friday May 31.
New Members in Hole-in-One Club
Valerie Evely became the first member of Lingan's Hole-in-one Club for the 2013 season when she aced the eighth hole using a three wood. The shot was witnessed by her playing partners, Brenda Peters, Leo Farrell, and Carolyn Farrell. On Saturday, May 11 Alan Sampson joined the club when he also aced the eighth hole using a #4 hybrid. His shot was witnessed by Judy Sampson, Naseem Farooq, and Bob Harnish. Congratulations to both golfers!
Back Shop opens for Storage
The back shop is now accepting clubs and carts for storage. Members who have pre-purchased storage may now drop off their clubs and carts in the back shop. Members who would like to have storage can make those arrangements in the Professional Shop. The prices are as follows:
- Club Storage $115
- Club and 3 Wheel Cart $145
- Club and Power Cart $160
911 Mondays
Lingan Golf Club is proud to offer a special green fee rate on Mondays to all branches of emergency services. This includes all active, retired, and volunteer members of fire, police, military, paramedic, and search and rescue departments and branches.

- $70 - two 18 hole green fees and power cart*
* Prices include HST.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
- Must show valid Emergency Services ID at Professional Shop prior to play.
- Tee times can be booked five (5) days in advance at 562-1112 or online at www.lingangolf.com.
- Special rate is for Monday play only (no tee time restrictions).
- Rate available to all military, paramedic, police, fire, and search and rescue services personnel.
Ladies Day Open to Members and Non-Members
2011 marks the first year that the Ladies Division will open its Ladies' Day program to all female golfers in the area. Non-members are invited to play with the Lingan ladies in their morning draw. Ladies who feel they would be more comfortable playing with their own group may request that they go out as a group at the end of the regular draw. The program will continue into the evening when the Thursday Evening League tees off at approximately 5:30. Again, non-members are invited to participate. This time has been set aside for female golfers who are unable to golf in the morning. For more details click on to LADIES.
Lingan Junior Golf Academy
Anyone requiring information regarding the Lingan Junior Golf Academy can contact Head Professional Jamie MacIntosh by phoning the Lingan Professional Shop at 902-562-5100 or by email at j.macintosh@lingangolf.com. The academy will begin on Wednesday July 6 and run for 7 weeks. Returning students must contact the Professional Shop by April 30th to ensure their position in this year's program. Beginning May 1st students from the waiting list will be contacted about their position.

TWO COURSES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE
Lingan has the distinction of offering its
members play at two championship courses for the price of an adult or couples'
membership fee. In 2009, Lingan partnered with Bell Bay Golf Club to allow
Lingan members full playing privileges on both courses. Again in 2011, Lingan
members will have unlimited golfing at Bell Bay and access to Bell Bay
invitational tournaments at the members' rate. (Some restrictions may apply to
tournament play).

If walking the course is important to you as a
means of keeping fit while enjoying a round of golf, then Lingan is an excellent
fit for you. Most members, of all ages, prefer to walk the course. However, if
you prefer to drive, Lingan is pleased to announce that it will unveil a new
fleet of power carts for the 2010 season.
