Par 3 for Charity Postponed

The Par 3 Challenge for Charity presented by the Antigonish Farmers Mutual Insurance Company has been postponed until Sunday September 12th due to the pending bad weather. All previous booking will be transfered to that day respecting morning and afternoon preferences. If you cannot play on the new date please phone the Lingan Golf Professional Shop to cancel.

Lingan Golf Club Hole in One Club

Mick Morrison became the latest member of the Hole in One Club when he aced hole #2 during the first round of the Men's Club Championship. He accomplished the feat while playing with Dave Campbell and Jeckie Gouthro. Other Hole in one's this year were:

Ryan Boutilier Captures Central Invitational

Lingan's Ryan Boutilier strung together under par rounds of 66 and 71 to capture his first Central Building Supplies Home Builders Championship. Battling a strong field and extremely hot conditions Boutilier was able to extend his first round lead of 2 strokes into a commanding 5 shot advantage and close with a home hole birdie to defeat Lingan's Junior Club Champion Brett McKinnon by 4. Boutilier dedicated his victory to long time Lingan member and past president Maurice Gouthro who passed away earlier this year.

The Event includes a practice round that must be played the week of July 11-16. The meal will follow the round on Sunday. A valid NSGA Golf Canada handicap card is required for this event. Main Course Restaurant

The Lingan Golf and Country Club would like to take this opportunity to
thank everone who helped make the Main Course Restaurant and Louge
inaugural season a success
As the days become shorter and the weather turns cold, we are preparing
to host our final events and getting ready to close for the season. The
final day of operations for the restaurant will be Sunday, October
11th.
The Lounge and canteen will remain open until the closure of the course
at the end of October.
Once again we would like to thank everyone who supported us and we look
forward to season 2 next year.

The 18th annual Hole in One dinner

The 18th annual Hole in One dinner was held at the Lingan Golf and
Country Club on October 8, 2009. The dinner is presented by Cape Breton
Beverages and it honors all Lingan members who scored an ace during the

Lingan has the distinction of offering its members play at two championship courses for the price of an adult or couples' membership fee. In 2009, Lingan partnered with Bell Bay Golf Club to allow Lingan members full playing privileges on both courses. Again in 2010, Lingan members will have unlimited golfing at Bell Bay and access to Bell Bay invitational tournaments at the members' rate. (Some restrictions may apply to tournament play).
